Quest Screen House Blue
£199.90
This is the excellent Quest instant spring up Screen House 4. The original and best quick erect screen house, gazebo and shelter available today. It is a multi-use gazebo, screen house or event shelter, perfect for entertaining in the garden, away at events, a covered social area when camping, in fact the uses are almost limitless.
The Screen House features the exclusive premium hub system which gives amazing strength, durability and last for years. The premium hub has been tested, improved and tuned for over 10 years giving the very best performance. The mechanism is tested for over 10 years worth of use to ensure that it will last for years and gives you peace of mind. The frame is solid fibreglass, not hollow like its cheaper rivals. Even if the worst happens and a pole does break the unique build of the premium hub means that any part can be replaced easily to ensure continued use of your Screen House.
The fabric on the Screen House is Quest Tec 210, which is a 210D polyester, with an advanced PU coating. This gives you great weather resistance and UV protection. The fabric has a hydrostatic head (HH) of 2000mm, which means that the roof is waterproof. All the roof seams are taped to ensure that the roof gives the very best protection against the rain. The fabric is also U.V. coated so it gives you an unbelievable 50+ UV rating (the very best available) which not only protects you, but also protects the fabric itself against the damage from the sun, helping it last longer. The roof is finished off with our extra weather protection roof gutters. These help ensure water runs off the roof and down the (optional – sold separately) side panels and not into the gazebo like it does on some of its rivals. These gutters help give extra protection against the weather and when used in conjunction with the optional side panels help lock and hold the side panels in place.
The Pmesh sides are a premium quality mesh which is more durable and less likely to snag than the others. It is made up from premium materials and has a heavy duty durable coating giving it extra strength. This is a very fine mesh which means it keeps the insects out, gives great un-interrupted views all around and helps keep you warmer by keeping the wind chill out. It allows the air to pass though, which gives you complete air flow to help ensure no condensation and enough air flow to allow cooking inside (you must keep all heat sources away from the sides and roof), but the fine nature of the mesh means that the wind is broken down when the air passes though the mesh which stops the ‘wind chill’ factor helping to keep you warmer.
The Screen House comes with storm straps for every side panel and pegging points (all pegs included) at the bottom and in the centre of every panel. This ground anchorage ensures the Screen House is great even in windy conditions. Once fulled erected the Screen House is extremely stable. It also comes with two door poles to give extra stability and strength in the door way.
The door is a fully zipped 2 panel door which allows you 100% use of the doorway unlike a lot of the cheaper rivals. At over 1.8M wide, the door is so wide you could drive a standard car into it ! You can even peg one side of the door down and only use one half of the door if you wish giving extra flexibility. The door zips together ensuring you have a complete screen around the entire screen house when in use.
The exclusive quick erect system on the Screen House means that it is amazingly easy to erect. It is designed to be so easy that it can be erected by one person in under 1 minute, making it just about the easiest and quickest available. It is not only easy to erect, but just as easy to take down unlike the pop up style tents. Taking the Screen House down is actually easier than erecting it. The bag is also oversized and makes it extremely easy to place the screen house in when taken down. To erect the Screen House all you do is :
Step 1: Get into Position
You simply take the screen house out of the bag and place it on the ground, holding the frame place the black circular end on the ground. This is actually a very important step as this helps ensure you erect the screen house correctly. Once done you simply let the sides fall to the fall at which point you will see the green roof material facing upwards. Then finally place the frame on the ground as well.
Step 2: Erect the screen house
Next you walk around the screen house and open the sides up (there are 5 in this model). You do this simply by holding the storm strap with one hand, whilst the other holds the top of the side. Pull the storm strap towards you and this will cause the side to ‘spring open’. Repeat this on each of the sides. This only takes seconds for each side. Once all sides have been done, simply walk into the centre of the screen house and push the centre of the roof up. The roof will then ‘spring’ into place.
Then place the two front poles in the pockets provided at the top and bottom of each corner of the door. The screen house is now erected, but we recommend that you peg the screen house down in case of windy conditions.
Step 3: Peg (Recommended)
There is a pegging point at every corner of the screen house and in the middle of each side. On top of these points each side has a storm strap located in the middle of the sidewall, peg this down by pulling the storm strap away from the screen house, but keep the strap loose. Once pegged tighten the storm strap, but do not over tighten as it could pull the screen house out of shape.
Step 4: Optional Extras: Sidewall Blinds
You can also fit sidewall blinds if you wish. These give you more privacy and protection against the weather. Every side and the door can have a sidewall blind fitted if you so wish. To fit the sidewall blind simply unclip the storm strap, place the sidewall blind over the side clipping it in place in each comer. Ensure the ring in the centre pushes over the hoop where the storm strap fits onto and finally just attach the Velcro tabs on the top and sides.
The screen house gives you a huge amount of usable space as the sides spring out ensuring you can use 100% of the space inside. The screen house has fully screen sides all around so there is nothing to add afterwards. The screen walls stop those pesky insects getting and actually help keep the wind at bay, but allows airflow to keep it cool. In sunny weather the UV coating and shade from the roof along with the fully screened sides actually make the inside of the screen house cooler than the outside.
